Sound Out Tap Company Rhythms of the DecadesSound Out Tap Company Rhythms of the Decades

"Rhythms of the Decades...tap into your past" is a fun look back at music, fashion and pop culture from times gone by. Our first scene will be set in the 1940's and we will tap our way up into the 1990's. Our young tappers will shuffle and flap their way into your hearts and memories when they tap through each decade and some of its most popular music. Joining Sound Out will be CORE Dance Collective, Folsom Lake Civic Ballet, The Diamonds of Sun City and several other of Sacramento's best young tappers and singers. Sound Out has always received high acclaim for their yearly Christmas show "The Rhythms of Christmas". Now we want to start your new year out right by dazzling you with our rendition of the "oldies but goodies". Come enjoy the nostalgia and as always we can't wait to see you there.

December 2009 will bring two holiday performances, "Season of Joy!" featuring the Folsom Lake Symphony Orchestra presenting Gabrieli's "Canzonas for Brass," J.S. Bach's "In Dulci Jublio,' Pachelbel's famous "Canon," along with "Winter Wonderland" by Custer, "Sleigh Ride" by Leroy Anderson, "Let it Snow" by Style and Sayre, and Vivaldi's "Concerto for Four Violins in b minor." Soloists for the concerto will be Anita Felix and Alex Robul of the Folsom Lake Symphony, and Ray Anthony Trujillo and Drew Cylinder of the Sacramento Youth Symphony Premier Orchestra. In the second half of the December concert, the orchestra will perform selections from Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Ballet with guest artists from the Folsom Lake Civic Ballet and Adrianne Dellorco. This will create the program for the Saturday evening and Sunday matinee performances on Dec. 19 and 20, 2009.
